After getting burned out supervising at a chain that sold burned coffee beans, Daniel shifted gears in 2022 to pursue programming - a career change that felt as natural as Solway Coffee Roasters' naturally processed beans.

Daniel got to know Executive Director Randall Adams through Randall's daughter (now also Daniel's wife) Emily. Daniel joined the start-up team for Solway Coffee Roasters shortly after its conception in 2020 and has since been contributing his expertise in web development and knowledge of the coffee industry.
